About the role 

General Job Functions

  • Supporting, training, and supervising front office staff.
  • Scheduling shifts to ensure 24hrs rotating shifts are fulfilled and managing other HR-related tasks.
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the reception area.
  • Monitoring stock and ordering office supplies, including stationery and information leaflets.
  • Preparing daily/weekly/monthly management reports on customer feedback, bookings, and cancellations.
  • Managing the departmental budget, roster, payroll etc.
  • Enforcing all cash-handling, checking, and credit procedures.
  • This role is ideally suited to a natural leader who has a keen eye for detail and the ability to drive service at every level. 
  • To maximize the efficiency of reservations and Front Desk activity
  • To ensure efficient and effective inter-department interaction within the hotel at all levels.
  • Maintaining a hotel log, following up on guest complaints or concerns as they occur and ensuring closure with a positive outcome.

Customers

  • Ensuring that all customer-related tasks are handled accurately and on time to improve guests’ experience.
  • To achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and staff.
  • To maintain our guest recognition and VIP program.
  • Handling customer complaints and special requests.

Financial

  • Ensure in conjunction with front office and accounts the AR setup and charge back authorities follow hotel credit procedures.
  • To ensure that average rate and occupancy is maximized.
  • To ensure guaranteed bookings and cancellation fees are charged where appropriate.
  • To consistently deliver products and services that meet the quality standards and expectations of guests.
  • To help maintain our reputation as the market leader in accommodation, product and service.
