About the role

The Accounts Assistant role will report directly to the Finance Manager and is an exciting opportunity for career development in a dynamic Entertainment Industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the New Zealand Finance and Cinema teams. Coupled with your love and passion for movies, we are seeking a highly motivated individual who will excel in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.  

Key responsibilities :

  • Complete bank reconciliation daily
  • Processing AP invoices and payment as required
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries
  • Set up new suppliers and maintain as required
  • Complete debtor invoicing, receipting and offset payments
  • Match cost of goods sold invoices for monthly reporting procedures
  • Weekly and monthly sales reporting
  • Box office reporting
  • General finance duties

Skills & experience 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently and meet agreed deadlines. 
  • Reliable and dependable. 
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts. 
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite particularly skilled in excel.
  • Knowledge in the use of Sun would be advantageous.
