About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Executive to join our team and help elevate the brand presence of our four Adelaide based hotels – Hotel Alba, Hotel MOTEL, The Terrace Hotel, and Atura Adelaide Airport. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing, social media and communication strategies that align with the overall business objectives, promote brand awareness, drive sales and revenue growth, and enhance customer experience. Your day-to-day will look like;

  • Proactively seek positive PR opportunities and media famils, manage enquiries, press kit development and tactical opportunities
  • Leverage key hotel events including the development of supporting materials & branded content opportunities and media collateral
  • Support each property’s local promotion strategies to ensure growth of room and F&B revenue with local packages and F&B offers
  • Support hotels’ F&B and C&E teams with collateral development, including website management, compendium, menus, signage and app materials
  • Maintain awards calendar and draft submissions for relevant opportunities
  • In conjunction with Management develop and execute marketing and communication plans for all four hotels, including online and offline advertising, email marketing, social media, influencer partnerships, events, and promotions and track ROI for each engagement.
  • Deliver an annual marketing calendar of data-driven campaigns for Hotel brands and assess results ongoing to ensure revenue targets are met. 
  • Develop EDM calendar inline with overarching marketing strategy
  • Manage the hotels’ websites and social media accounts, ensuring they are updated, engaging, and optimized for search engines
  • Monitor and report on marketing and communication performance metrics, including website traffic, social media engagement and ROI on marketing campaigns
  • Regular reporting, KPI tracking and work-in-progress documentation
  • Develop hotel brand assets in line with hotel brand standards
  • Manage the execution, development and rollout of hotel content across both owned and third party channels in-line with brand standards (collateral, photoshoots, assets)
  • Drive individual brand growth with local partnerships, local tourism organisations and industry associations

Skills & experience 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Think creatively to implement innovative ideas and solutions, while still maintaining a systematic and logical approach to achieving outcomes
  • Take a flexible approach to all situations, changing behaviour, opinions or actions in light of new information or changing situations
  • Manage multiple projects at one time and work towards tight deadlines
  • Anticipate future demands and problems while taking a positive approach to all problems and actions
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and content creation.
  • Knowledge of the South Australian and Australian media landscape
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Hootsuite, Isentia and Social Media Platforms
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
