About the role

Key responsibilities :

  • Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing all surfaces.
  • Linen and Towel Care: Replace linens and towels in guest rooms as needed, and ensure they are clean and in good condition. 
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers. 
  • Restocking Supplies: Ensure that all guest room amenities, such as toiletries and towels, are adequately stocked and replaced, as necessary.  
  • Public Areas: Clean and maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and common spaces. 
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or necessary repairs to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Team. 
  • Lost and Found: Properly handle any lost and found items following hotel policies and procedures. 
  • Guest Requests: Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure their needs are met to enhance their stay. 
  • Laundry Duties: Assist with laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels. 
  • Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning chemicals.  
  • Availability for flexible work hours, including weekends and evenings

Skills & experience 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Trustworthy, punctual and a positive attitude
  • Physical fitness to cope with a labour-intensive operation
  • An eye for detail is important to make a flawless room
  • 1-3 years Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks within a hotel environment
  • Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Hotel experience preferred.
