About the role

  • Management of daily operations, including set-up and pack-down 
  • Organisation of season bump-in and bump-out including and management of the production schedule
  • Leadership of approximately 35 onsite crew, working closely with an Assistant Venue Manager 
  • Staff recruitment, training and development
  • Management of F&B operations (including ordering, invoice entry and stock control) 
  • Oversight of sponsorship activations and deliverables
  • Rostering and payroll management
  • Accountability of AV operation (including but not limited to screen set up and content management)
  • Implementation of management plans and WHS compliance
  • Contact hours are primarily in the afternoon into the evening (with the exception of mid shifts or day shifts allocated for administration) 
  • Full Time Fixed Term commencing ASAP until early-April 2025

Skills & experience 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management position
  • Previous experience in Food and Beverage and customer service
  • Previous cinema or event management experience is advantageous
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, combined with the ability to take ownership and problem solve
  • Strong time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading a casual workforce
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must have current RSA certificate
  • Must have current driver’s licence
