The hotel comprises 61 5 star rooms & 20 serviced apartments, The Workshop Kitchen restaurant, Coal Bunker Bar & several boutique rooms for meetings & events. The hotel was recently listed in the Weekend Australian magazine’s ‘Australia’s Hot 20 Places to Stay’ feature.
About the role
We are looking for great staff to join our amazing housekeeping team at Tamworth’s only 5 star hotel property. Located a short distance from the CBD, The Powerhouse Tamworth features 81 new luxe rooms, suites & apartments.
We require casual Housekeeping Room Attendants to work weekdays & weekends between 8.30am & 2.30pm.
All morning shifts on a 7 day roster & immediate start is available for successful candidates.
We’re all about hiring people who take pride in what they do – so if you’re an energetic, fit, ‘clean fiend’ with an eye for detail, you’d be perfect! Cleaning experience is desirable, however our in depth training will give you the tools to succeed.

Skills & experience
- Cleaning experience at a high standard in a similar environment (preferred)
- You must be physically fit & able to work within tight time frames
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- You’re motivated, reliable, able to take direction & committed to continuous improvement
- A friendly personality with a positive outlook
- Excellent presentation
- Great attention to detail & take pride in your work
- Ability to work both independently & as part of a cohesive team
- You have a positive ‘can do’ attitude & flexible work ethic
- You’re ‘hands on’ & instill a sense of productivity in the workplace
