About the role

We need a Front Office idol.

A legend who will co-ordinate and oversee the running of the Hotel in the absence of executive management.

The role has an emphasis on the operations of the Front office and Reservations Departments, whilst monitoring Hotel security and maximizing the profitability of operations.

You will be reporting into the General Manager, with rostered hours of work (including shift work and weekends).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the function of Manager on Duty
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office and Reservations Departments.
  • Ensure departmental rosters are in line with budget
  • Responsible for the ongoing recruitment, induction and development of the front office and reservations team
  • Ensure accurate statistical records and reporting are kept and maintained
  • Ensure that department expenditure is controlled within set targets
  • Implement and track front desk up-sell strategies for F&B and Rooms

Skills & Experience

  • A full New Zealand driver license is essential.
  • A passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Opera PMS.
  • Previous managerial experience in a similar role.
  • A current General Managers Certificate.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
