About the role

The Conference & Event Sales Executive challenges our expectations and brings new and exciting ideas to create exceptional guest experiences across our amazing spaces.

 Some duties include:

  • Qualifying incoming leads, generating proposals and converting business
  • Managing your accounts from initial enquiry until hand off to our dedicated event coordinators
  • Finding opportunities to upsell and grow revenue ahead of the market
  • Working with the team to use our space in creative ways and maximise our asset
  • Collaborating with your colleagues and sharing your ideas on how to generate and convert new business
  • Attending industry functions and familiarisations as required
  • Meeting revenue targets

Skills & experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • The ability to work under pressure in one of Canberra’s busiest venues
  • Passion for excellence
  • Excellent presentation and exceptional communication skills
  • Team player
  • Previous experience using Ivvy preferred but not essential
