About the role
The Duty Manager challenges our expectations and brings new and exciting ideas to create exceptional guest experiences across our amazing spaces.
Some duties include:
- Anticipating and attending to guest’s needs during peak service periods.
- Lead & support a service focused team, overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operation.
- Develop a strong team by implementing effective inductions, on-going training, delegation and feedback.
- Communicate effectively, with the ability to maintain policies, procedures, and be the ultimate liaison and ambassador for the hotel.
- Stay on top of systems and procedures, including cash handling, payments and the PMS reservation system.
- Assisting with FIT and group reservations,
- Effectively manage guest feedback and handle complaints.
- This role will have a huge focus on staff, guest and stakeholder management and planning.
- Having a hands on approach, this position may include working a range of shifts on the front desk including AM, PM and Night Shifts.

Skills & experience
- A passion for the service and hospitality industry, delivering a high standard of service to all guests.
- Team player, with an outgoing and happy personality, working with and helping fellow colleagues at all times.
- Proactive and positive mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude that is contagious.
- Working knowledge of a hotel property management system such as Opera Infrasys & Optii.
- Managing staff within the entire department and coordinating other departments during times of peak service.
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager in similar sized hotel.
