About the role
QT Perth and Santini Bar + Grill is on the hunt for a casual Chef De Partie Chef dedicated to elevating our food program which includes our signature restaurant Santini Bar & Grill, as well as our Conferencing & Events business and Rooftop. With an excellent working environment, this is an opportunity to display a variety of techniques and styles, ranging from high end restaurant food to sun soaked bar snacks. Experience in delivering 5-star or high-end boutique food offering a must!
- Working alongside the Head of Culinary + Executive Chef you will be in responsible for elevating the QT Perth food program, including the restaurant, C&E and Rooftop offering.
- Ensure that QT Perth produces a high-quality food product at all times.
- To have a full knowledge of, and practice the hotel’s established occupational health and safety guidelines (OH&S)
- Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every food item across our menus.
- Monitor food quality and quantity as it relates to portion control.
- Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure that proper storage techniques are being used and that the cleanliness standards are being maintained.
- Requisition the appropriate amount of food product in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
- Support with any other duties as directed by the Chef De Cuisine.

Skills & experience
- A quirky attitude with the desire to push innovation and creativity, developing seasonal and rotating menus.
- A passion for luxury lifestyle hospitality and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hatted or high-end boutique patisserie environment.
- Ambitious and ready to take on projects to expand scope of offering within QT Perth.
- Excited to work collaboratively and creatively with the QT Perth team including the Executive Chef
