About the role

As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for performing and managing all day-to-day finance duties at QT Sydney, as well as a supporting role for other EVT hotels that are based out of this office hub. You will also be a go-to person for payroll related queries.

Skills & experience

Previous experience in a hotel accounting environment is highly regarded. Experience with Opera PMS is essential. Strong communication skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Team player and positive work attitude with high attention to detail.

 Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
  • Oversee daily credit card reconciliation and bank reconciliation
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly audit requirement is fulfilled
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecast
  • Manage accounts inbox and answer guests/suppliers queries
  • Review payroll and oversee payroll compliance
  • Assist with weekly and monthly forecasting
  • Prepare BAS and assist with month end process including P&L reporting and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the maintenance and implementation of hotels internal control systems
  • Participate internal and external audit process
  • Perform any other duties as directed by GM or FC
