About the role
We are looking for experienced, motivated Banquet Waiters to join our diverse team. QT Sydney’s dining institution is under the creative culinary direction of Creative Culinary Director and globally renowned chef, Sean Connolly.
As a Banquet Waiter, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests during events and banquets. Your main duties include setting up banquet venues, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for attendees.
Set-Up:
- Prepare banquet venues according to event specifications.
- Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and tableware as per the event theme or organiser’s instructions.
- Ensure proper placement of menus, name cards, and other event materials.
Service:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu items and able to answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
- Anticipate and fulfill guest needs, providing attentive and personalised service.
Coordination:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure the timely and coordinated delivery of food.
- Communicate effectively with other banquet team members to ensure seamless service.
- Collaborate with event organisers and coordinators to meet specific requirements.
Clean-Up:
- Clear tables, clean up dishes, and reset banquet venues for the next event.
- Assist in the breakdown and removal of equipment and decorations.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness of the banquet area.

Skills & experience
- A fun personality with a welcoming presence!
- 1-2 years’ experience (fine dining experience is a plus)
- Well groomed
- Enjoy being part of a team and have a hands-on attitude.
