About the role

Rydges Armidale is currently seeking an Assistant Manager for an immediate start the successful applicant will oversee the day to day operations of the business specifically conference and events and food and beverage. The candidate will ideally also have a passion for hotels and hospitality and be hungry for experience that will further their career within the company. This is a hands on role that requires you to work within various outlets of the property whilst reporting directly to the General Manager. 

Key responsibilities :

  • Deliver superior service to our guests. 
  • Maintain the grooming standards of all employees. 
  • Overseeing management and supervision of the F&B department. 
  • Maintain a harmonious relationship with members of staff in all departments.

Skills & experience 

  • Knowledge of Hotel PMS Opera an advantage
  • Knowledge of Pos System – Infrasys or similar highly regarded
  • Maintain superior levels of food & beverage service to hotel guests. 
  • Ensure that the staff’s product knowledge is at an acceptable level. 
  • Work closely with the sales department to secure business
  • Manage and oversee all conferences and events
  • Supporting all senior staff in their respective departments.
  • Assume responsibility of the property in the absence of the General Manager
  • Must have a valid RSA
