About the role 

Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Food and Beverage team, your role will involve the sales, organization and co-ordination of corporate events, weddings, social and special functions.

  • Coordinate and manage conference, event & wedding bookings from initial inquiry through to execution, liaising with clients to understand their requirements, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, oversee events on the day-of, ensuring smooth execution, and promptly addressing any issues
  • Handling all incoming inquiries in a prompt & professional manner.
  • Developing and maintaining existing and new client relationships
  • Effectively communicating event details and feedback across relevant hotel departments ensuring successful delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Be hands-on and assist with the Event and F & B operations as required

Skills & experience 

    • Motivated and passionate about service excellence
    • Strong attention to detail and poses the ability to multi-task
    • Exceptional time management skills
    • Able to negotiate, close a sale
    • Opera and Ivvy experience will be desirable but not essential.
    • Event management experience within a hotel or venue is preferred 
    • Highly organized and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, multiple events, and sometimes in high-pressure situations
