About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Rydges Latimer Christchurch. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel or company business objectives. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff, develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures, and work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping department – including the setting of tasks for you and the team
  • Analyse weekly results whilst maintaining efficiencies
  • Develop and implement training and development plans for your team including succession planning
  • Train, motivate, and lead a team of housekeeping staff
  • Organise team building activities for your team

Skills & experience 

  • 3 or more years minimum related experience in Housekeeping
  • You’ll have an organised nature, with great attention to detail
  • The ability to work with deadlines and have extensive knowledge in all facets of Housekeeping
  • Additionally you’ll possess a strong ability to drive results and drive moment within a diverse team.
  • Relevant qualification at level 4 or above
