Rydges Mount Panorama Bathurst is currently seeking a dedicated, hands on & self-motivated Maintenance Manager to join our Management team.

As a Maintenance Manager, your job is to maintain the hotel, including all guest maintenance issues, all maintenance requests generated by all departments, preventative maintenance and any duties as required due to the day to day running of the hotel during the course of the shift

This is a highly skilled position and requires an adaptable organised person with exceptional attention to detail and highly developed communication skills. The successful candidate should have good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to make informed decisions. They will also have excellent problem solving, long term planning and short term response skills.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure maintenance issues & requests are actioned in a timely fashion to comply with a 4 star rated property.
  • Keep hotel in good working condition with due regard to safety of all persons.
  • Carry out all maintenance and handyman duties of the hotel & grounds (including painting, basic electrical work (light globes), working with heights (ladders/roof), basic plumbing (washers/toilets) & minor carpentry.
  • Ensure Pool & Spa complies with regulations and monitoring/testing as specified.
  • Use safe manual handling techniques at all times and take a consultative role to assist in achieving a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Co-ordinate & manage contractors as required for maintenance throughout property & assist whilst on property
  • Attend to property after hours as required for any emergency maintenance matters
  • Maintain & operate department whilst staying within budget allocations.

Skills & experience

  • Current NSW Driver’s License
  • Happy to be ‘hands on’
  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility, initiative and willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks
  • Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily
  • Organises time & work efficiently
  • Develops and maintains co-operative working relationships
  • Be prepared to work the hours according to the demands of the property
