About the role
- Ensuring the highest level of quality in the preparation and presentation to ensure a consistent food product which meets our customer’s expectations.
- Collaborate with senior kitchen management in menu planning, implementation & execution
- Maintaining the kitchen to hygienic standards and practices according to local health authorities & HACCP compliance
- Junior staff training & development including apprentices
- Ensure the department is operated within the appropriate legislation and Food Safety records are maintained up to date
- Personal grooming and appearance standards are met regarding cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene for yourself and your team

Skills & experience
- Experience in a la carte dining or a large volume of banquets.
- A current and up-to-date food safety handling qualification.
- Highly professional manner, grooming & hygiene.
- Flexible and adaptable to the fast paced & dynamic hotel industry.
- Flexibility and can work 7 day rotating roster including days, weekends, evenings and Public Holidays.
- A team player with a positive & enthusiastic attitude.
- Previous experience in a similar role for 12 months or more preferred.
- You will have a vocational certificate in culinary skills or related field.
