About the role
Rydges Port Macquarie has completed a full renovation of the 99 hotel rooms and we are sure you agree, they are impressive. Your role will include:
- Manage the day to day operational needs, supporting the Area Exec Housekeeper.
- Facilitate and co-ordinate the cleaning of our brand-new renovated 99 guest rooms and 20 apartments; including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and corridors to the hotel’s high standards.
- Ordering and keeping to PAR levels of guest amenities, linen, glassware, crockery etc etc
- Rostering and keeping to budgeted payroll, as discussed and managed with the Area Exec Housekeeper, Rooms Division Manager and General Manager
- Reporting maintenance requirements.
- Reporting and recording of all lost property following correct hotel procedures.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
- Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained.
- Adhering to all sanitation and chemical use guidelines.
- Ensuring all WH&S policies and procedures are followed.

Skills & experience
- Has experience in housekeeping, preferably in hotels.
- Demonstrates a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Is able to work under pressure, take initiative, prioritise and multi-task.
- Has attention to detail.
- Is reliable and flexible to work any shift and on short notice.
- Having Optii Housekeeping experience is a benefit, but not essential.
