About the role
The Cluster Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the annual marketing plan and key initiatives for Rydges Resort Hunter Valley and Rydges Newcastle. As the Brand Champion, this role focuses on promoting the hotels’ F&B outlets, overseeing social media, PR, meta advertising, and design work. The role also includes end-of-quarter reporting, working closely with the Area Director, HQ marketing team, and attending meetings and WIPs as needed.
The role is based at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Assist in creating and implementing the annual marketing plan.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns for key initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Area Director and HQ marketing team to ensure brand alignment.
- Manage F&B promotional activities and ensure consistent brand messaging.
Social Media & PR:
- Lead social media strategies across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Maintain and enhance PR activities, building strong media relationships.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date online presence, including third-party sites.
Creative Development & Design:
- Lead and oversee the creation of design work, ensuring brand consistency.
- Collaborate with the E-commerce team to update hotel information on third-party websites.
- Innovate and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth.
Meta Advertising:
Strategy Development:
- Design and implement meta advertising strategies aligned with marketing goals.
- Target key audiences to maximise reach and engagement.
Campaign Management:
- Oversee meta advertising campaigns, working with partners and vendors.
- Monitor performance, making data-driven adjustments for better ROI.
Budget Management:
- Manage advertising budgets, optimising for maximum impact.
- Report on spend, performance, and outcomes to the Area Director.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Use analytics tools to track campaign success and identify trends.
- Share insights with stakeholders to improve future campaigns.
End-of-Quarter Reporting:
- Prepare and submit comprehensive, actionable end-of-quarter reports for both hotels.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Coordinate with F&B and other departments to execute new concepts and events.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with goals.
- Support administrative tasks related to marketing activities.
Meetings & WIPs:
- Attend meetings and Work in Progress sessions as required.

Skills & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields; or extensive relevant experience.
- 3+ years as a Marketing Executive or 1+ year as Assistant Marketing Manage or similar levels.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and writing skills.
- Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experienced with Canva, Adobe Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and design platforms.
- Familiar with Sprout Social, Meta Business Suites, and other management systems.
- Professionalism: Highly professional in appearance, character, and conduct.
- Teamwork: Strong team player with effective interpersonal skills.
- Creativity: Displays a creative vision with a passion for the job.
- Integrity: Maintains complete confidentiality and exhibits loyalty and integrity.
- Build and maintain strong media relationships locally and globally.
- Regularly share updates with the media on hotel promotions.
- Maintain positive online presence and ensure brand consistency across platforms.
- Create and manage a monthly newsletter, overseeing content and layout.
- Execute value-added campaigns targeting in-house and long-stay guests.
- Share insights on market trends and marketing channel analysis.
- Supervise administrative systems, including PR databases and KPI reporting.
- Manage end-of-quarter reporting and optimise meta advertising strategies.
- Lead and oversee all design work to ensure brand effectiveness.
- Work with the Area Director and HQ marketing team on brand-aligned projects.
