About the role
The Night Auditor role at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is perfect for someone who combines strong financial skills with a passion for hospitality. As the Night Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing the day’s transactions, ensuring all accounting and reporting requirements are met, and overseeing cashiering policies. Your role will continuously be supporting the Assistant Night Manager & Night Manager working to optimize hotel operations and profitability.
Key responsibilities :
- Auditing and balancing daily trading transactions before posting
- Completing accounting and reporting requirements in line with hotel policies
- Following and enforcing cashiering policies
- Ensuring your team maintains a professional appearance at all times
- Assisting with the implementation of best practice procedures
- Conducting regular security and safety walk-throughs to identify risks
- Staying informed about current room rates, yield management strategies, and promotions, and educating the team accordingly
- Anticipating and exceeding guest expectations, contributing to an unforgettable guest experience.

Skills & experience
- A passion for the service and hospitality industry.
- Excellent customer relations, problem solving and communication skills
- To achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests.
- Proven experience within a hotel or similar experience, night supervisory roles ideal. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
- Your communication skills will help foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests, while your customer service excellence ensures they feel valued and cared for during their stay. This is a vital part of creating an exceptional guest experience at the resort.
- Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Current RSA and NSW license preferred.
