About the role 

This is a full-time position, with the flexibility to work overnight shifts from 11.00pm – 7.00am over a 7-day roster. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing nightly operations, managing accounting and audits, reconciling transactions, and generating financial reports. Your exceptional service will guarantee that guests feel welcomed and their expectations are surpassed. Additionally, you will monitor hotel security and work to maximize the profitability of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff comply with all hotel standards, policies and procedures
  • Coordinate group arrivals and ensure preparations are made for VIPs and return guests
  • Provide clear concise communication to all departments within the hotel
  • Handle customer complaints, issues and incidents occurring within the hotel or affecting hotel guests
  • Coordinate and respond to guest requests in a timely manner
  • Lead by example and provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Drive EVT Loyalty programs to maximise revenue
  • Provide support in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets where required
  • Provide support to the Assistant Night Manager by performing Reception & Concierge duties as well including check-in, check-outs
  • You’ll also ensure the resort’s safety and security with regular property checks, manage emergency situations and give first response to medical situations

Skills & experience 

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • The capability to supervise, train, and guide staff professionally, ensuring an exceptional customer experience in our hotel is essential.
  • Possesses strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exhibits strong business acumen with the capacity to make informed decisions and grasp the commercial consequences.
  • Proficiency in OPERA or similar systems
  • Cash handling and processing of financial transactions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Naturally organized and capable of multitasking, one must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Availability to work over a 7-day roster from 11.00pm to 7.00am
  • Exceptional personal presentation and grooming standards
  • Drivers licence to operate hotel buggies
  • Applicable NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
  • Current First Aid certification 
  • Full Australian working rights with no VISA restrictions as no sponsorship will be offered
