About the role

Conference and Events are in our blood and our dedication to performing above the market makes for an exciting, successful and ultimately very rewarding workplace. This role will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Daily administrative support functions both internally and externally 
  • Responding to general emails and phone enquires 
  • Assist with the preparation, issuance and processing of detailed event paperwork, both internally and externally
  • Processing accommodation / group reservations, cancellations and amendments to contracted bookings
  • Liaise daily with other hotel departments in relation to conference / event logistics and F&B outlets and 
  • Detailed record and diary management
  • Ensure post event follow up with all clients 
  • Liaising with event suppliers / third parties as required

You will provide administrative support for the Conference and Events team to ensure all hotel events are coordinated in a timely and accurate manner.

Skills & experience 

We want to know what sets you apart from other applicants and how you can take our business to new heights! When it comes to sales; excellent verbal and written communication, high level computer literacy, sharp and professional presentation, and strong attention to detail are must haves. 

In addition to having a love for hospitality and events, we are also looking for:

  • Existing qualifications or currently studying Marketing, Event / Hospitality Management, or Business / Sales are desirable, but not essential 
  • Previous experience in similar role involving Events and/or Sales and or coordination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; IVvy Events / CRM and OPERA or similar hotel software programs; desirable but not essential 
  • Enjoy building and maintaining positive relationships, both internally and externally
  • Enthusiastic participant in the sales & events department with a focus on securing repeat business
  • Possess a professional attitude, time management is key and an efficient approach to all things Event Sales
  • Achieving deadlines is what drives you to succeed.
