About the Role

We are seeking experienced Guest Services Agents (GSA) to join our Front Office team on a casual basis, depending on the candidate and availability. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring guests feel welcomed as soon as they enter the hotel 
  • Completing guest check-in, check-out and cash/payment procedures 
  • Take reservations and respective enquiries when required 
  • Operate hotel switchboard
  • Answering guest phone calls, general enquiries and assist in resolving complaints 
  • Take room service orders and restaurant bookings 
  • Be an expert, advocate and up seller of hotel products and services 
  • Communicate special requests including VIPs with other departments 
  • Assist Concierge with parking vehicles and delivering luggage when required

Skills and Experience

This role will suit a well-rounded hospitality or customer service professional with the flexibility and experience to work a variety of shifts through the week including weekends.

The successful candidate will have had previous experience working in reception/front desk/reservations, cashier, information services, customer facing positions. While not essential, previous experience and understanding of the Opera system will be highly regarded. 

When it comes to Front Office — excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, high standard of personal grooming, and a professional, friendly and helpful demeanour are essential.
