About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Reservations Agent to join our Front Office team on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to all incoming reservations calls, emails and enquiries from guests, travel agents and corporate companies regarding accommodation 
  • Processing all reservations, cancellations and amendments to bookings 
  • Communicate guest special requests to relevant teams throughout the hotel including VIPs 
  • Communicate guest complaints to hotel management and assist in investigations and resolutions
  • Be an expert on the hotel rooms, room rates and packages available and upsell when possible 
  • Assist Group Reservations and Reception when required

Skills & experience 

This role will suit a well-rounded hospitality or customer service professional with the flexibility and experience to work a variety of shifts through the week including weekends.

The successful candidate will have had previous experience working in reception/front desk/reservations, cashier, information services, customer facing positions. While not essential, previous experience and understanding of the Opera system will be highly regarded. 

When it comes to Front Office — excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, high standard of personal grooming, and a professional, friendly and helpful demeanour are essential.
