About the role
Rydges Sydney Airport is currently seeking motivated Full Time Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic and professional team. The person will report to the Financial Controller.
- Ensure that all applications for credit are processed according to the established Hotel policies and procedures.
- Process all incoming EFTs and allocate against balances existing in hotel credit accounts.
- Contact and collect funds from individuals and companies whose accounts have exceeded the time limitations outlined in the credit arrangement with the Hotel.
- Promptly reconcile all client and credit card inquiries.
- Regularly reconcile the statements of credit accounts.
- Reconcile credit accounts with the Hotel’s general ledger.
- Process all payments through the computerized accounts system in a timely manner.
- Raise and send invoices to individuals and companies who have outstanding balances with the Hotel.
- To ensure that every invoice submitted for payment has been authorized by the appropriate department manager.
- To take the necessary steps to ensure that all invoices represent charges for products which have been received.
- To guarantee the arithmetic accuracy of all invoices submitted for payment.
- To accurately code all invoices submitted for payment.
- To process all invoices through the computerized accounts system in a timely manner.
- To reconcile Hotel payment accounts with goods supplier statements.
- Assist other members of the Finance Department when necessary.
- To attend all scheduled meetings.
- To perform any other duties as directed by the Financial Controller.

- Strong knowledge of credit and accounts processes.
- Proficient in computerized accounting systems.
- Excellent reconciliation and record-keeping abilities.
- Effective communication and debt collection skills.
- Attention to detail for invoice and payment accuracy.
- Time management for meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a finance team.
