About the role
Lead a dynamic team to deliver seamless, high-quality events at Rydges World Square. Oversee banquet operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, coordinate with departments, manage budgets, and drive innovation. A hands-on role perfect for passionate hospitality professionals.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead the banquet team to deliver seamless events and exceptional service.
- Coordinate with departments for smooth events execution.
- Oversee room setups, transitions, and breakdowns.
- Manage staffing, rosters, and team performance.
- Assist the F&B Manager with recruitment for the Banquets department.
- Control budgets and optimise resources.
- Maintain high service and presentation standards.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Introduce trends and innovations to enhance events.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Inspire and motivate the team to exceed expectations.

Skills & experience
- Proven background in banquet or event operations with hands-on leadership experience.
- The ability to work under pressure while leading a team in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere
- A high level of cleanliness and presentation, keeping all work areas both front of house and back of house clean and in working order
- Degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
