About the role

Rydges World Square is currently seeking a Duty Manager to join our EPIC team of experienced and budding hoteliers. You will be joining this 460-room Hotel located in the heart of bustling World Square. We expect the right person in this role to achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests, oversee the asset in the absence of the Executive team, ensure the front desk staff maintain their training and uphold company values, and assist the Front Office Manager in the day to day running of the Front Office Department.

Skills & experience 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar role or a minimum of 12 months as a Front Supervisor or Guest Service Agent.
  • Excellent customer relations, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of a hotel property management system such as Opera and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands.
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia and availability to work 38 hours per week.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage priorities whilst remaining calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • You love working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for hotels and their guests.
  • You think outside the box and enjoy problem-solving.
  • Outstanding communicator
  • The ability to multi-task as well as work under pressure.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • A team player.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with other departments
