About the role
As the Conference and Events Sales Executive at The Inchcolm Hotel you will play a vital role in shaping every aspect of our events, from the initial client engagement to the final flourish. Balancing sales and coordination, you will bring events to life while fostering lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Your key responsibilities may include:
- Build strong connections with clients, conducting site inspections and tailoring proposals to their vision
- Convert leads into successful bookings through proactive follow-ups and relationship management.
- Manage all aspects of event preparation, including proposals, contracts, floor plans, and banquet event orders.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, and operational teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Liaise with the Group Conference & Events Sales Manager to finalize major quotes and proposals.
- Actively pursue upselling opportunities to maximize revenue from room nights, F&B, and other services.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, showcasing our offering and building brand awareness.

Skills & experience
- Proven experience in planning and executing conferences, weddings, and corporate events – ideally within a high-end hotel or venue setting.
- A passionate self-starter who thrives on achieving goals and excels when working independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple events, deadlines, and responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of fostering client relationships, converting leads, and securing repeat business.
- Experience with Ivvy and Opera Cloud will be highly regarded.
