About the role
Our Duty Manager is a hands-on role, assisting with the smooth running of the hotel from the moment our guests contact us, right through to check in / out and post stay.
Our Duty Manager is heavily involved in daily reservations coordination and management, ensuring all reservations are accurate and attention is paid to all guest requests.
You must be available to work various shifts across a 7-day roster to meet the demands of the business in a busy working environment and be hands on at all times.
Key responsibilities :
- Maintain the Daily Log and Daily Reports
- Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to motivate, encourage and train staff to achieve desired results and exceed guest expectations
- Ensure guest feedback is recorded accurately and action any service recovery process in a prompt and efficient manner
- Ensures the smooth operation of Front Office & Housekeeping operations by being visible and aware of its requirements.

Skills & experience
- Minimum 12 month experience in hotel reception
- RoomMaster PMS and ORS knowledge
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of the hotel reservation process
- Friendly, service driven culture
- The successful candidate will be required to undertake a police check prior to employment
