Atura Oran Park opens, redefining the Western Sydney hospitality experience

Travel

Just 20 minutes from Western Sydney International Airport, the new 184-room hotel creates a vibrant new destination for stays and events, with an Italian-inspired restaurant and resort-style pool.

Atura Hotels today celebrated the official opening of Atura Oran Park, marking a significant milestone for South Western Sydney and creating a new hospitality hub at the heart of one of Australia's fastest-growing communities.

Developed in partnership between EVT Hotels & Resorts and the Perich family, the hotel brings together contemporary accommodation, destination dining, flexible conference and event spaces, resort-style leisure facilities and welcoming social areas.

The opening comes at a defining moment for the region, just days after the commencement of operations at Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, positioning the hotel to welcome guests flying into and out of the region’s new gateway.

"Today is about opening the doors to a destination designed for the future of Western Sydney. Atura Oran Park reflects the energy and ambition of one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, creating a place where locals and visitors can come together for business, celebrations, events and memorable stays.

After 24 years with EVT, bringing hotels to life is still one of the things I love most, and there’s something truly special about this one. We’ve created a hotel that feels connected to its community, inspired by the character of the region and brought to life through the warm, approachable hospitality the Atura brand is known for.

Opening the doors today is a proud milestone, and we can’t wait to welcome guests and the wider Oran Park community," said Shannon Craig, Area General Manager, Atura Oran Park.

A new gathering place for Oran Park

Located within one of Australia's largest master-planned communities, Atura Oran Park reflects the brand's neighbourhood-first philosophy, with welcoming spaces designed for locals and hotel guests alike.

Architecture by Studio SC and interiors by Nic Graham combine contemporary design with references to Oran Park's motorsport heritage, reflecting Atura's commitment to creating hotels that are authentically connected to the communities in which they reside.

Guests are welcomed by a striking sculptural installation by internationally acclaimed Indonesian artist Ichwan Noor, who has reimagined the iconic Holden Torana A9X as a near-perfect cube. Inspired by Peter Brock's legendary racing car and its yellow and black livery, the artwork pays tribute to Oran Park's motorsport history.

In the lobby, Sydney artist George Buchanan has transformed thousands of toy cars, planes and trains donated by people across Australia into a large-scale depiction of the Nepean River at sunset. Bringing together community contributions and a familiar Western Sydney landscape, the installation celebrates the region's transport heritage and its evolution into a thriving urban community and gateway through Western Sydney Airport.

The property's racing heritage is reflected throughout its public spaces, from racetrack-inspired carpets and an eye-catching mural above the bar to a unique lenticular wall artwork that brings together Oran Park's motorsport history and the natural landscape of Western Sydney. Featuring archival racing photography by Lynton Hemer and contemporary imagery of the Nepean River by Anne Graham, the installation reveals different perspectives as guests move through the space, connecting the site's past with its present. In the guest rooms, colourful racing-inspired cushions, themed bathroom wallpaper and photography offer further nods to Oran Park's motorsport past.

"Atura Oran Park is a significant milestone in the evolution of Oran Park, bringing to life our vision for a vibrant town centre. More than a hotel, it will support the area's continued growth while providing a place for residents, businesses and visitors to meet, celebrate and stay," said Mark Perich, Director of Greenfields Development Company.

Contemporary interiors carry the hotel's distinctive design language through to the rooms, balancing character and a sense of place with the relaxed, design-led experience Atura is known for.

Tavola Brings Modern Italian Dining to Oran Park

The hotel's Italian-inspired restaurant and bar, Tavola, offers a contemporary take on traditional Italian dining, built around the Italian tradition of gathering around the table. Showcasing seasonal produce and local suppliers, the menu celebrates modern, share-style dishes designed to bring people together in a warm, vibrant and relaxed setting.

Highlights include wood-fired pizzas, blue swimmer crab linguine, Riverina Black Angus rib eye with Café de Paris butter and Nonna's pork and veal meatballs, while the Italian Bombe Alaska delivers a memorable sweet finish.

Aperol and limoncello spritzes, negronis and a well-rounded wine selection complement the menu, while the relaxed setting suits everything from casual catch-ups and business lunches to celebratory dinners.

Space to meet, celebrate and unwind

For leisure, guests can relax by the heated resort-style outdoor pool and terrace, open year-round and complemented by a dedicated poolside menu featuring light bites and drinks.

With seven versatile event spaces, Atura Oran Park is designed to bring people together for everything from board meetings and corporate conferences to weddings, milestone celebrations and community events. Accommodating from 12 to 500 guests, the hotel offers flexible, light-filled venues supported by dining and hospitality, making it easy to bring people together and connect attendees whether travelling locally, interstate or internationally.

From Pit Stop, an intimate private dining room and boardroom for up to 15 guests, to The Grandstand, the hotel's flagship pillarless event space flooded with natural light and capable of hosting up to 500 guests, every venue has been designed with flexibility in mind. Outdoor seating and bar spaces provide the perfect setting for pre-event drinks, post-conference networking or celebrations that seamlessly extend beyond the function room.
