EVT today announced that LyLo, its award-winning lifestyle-budget brand, will enter Bangkok in 2028 with a 387-bed property in Sukhumvit under management agreement marking LyLo's first move beyond Australia and New Zealand.

The signing makes LyLo the third EVT hotel brand to enter South-East Asia, following the successful opening of QT Singapore in 2024 and the recent announcement of Rydges Bangkok with a targeted opening in 2028. Together, the three signings mark a build out of EVT Hotels & Resorts asset-light hotel growth strategy in the region.

Located in Sukhumvit Soi 15, the property offers 354 signature pods and 33 private rooms, together with shared social spaces including a rooftop wellness area, pool and bar. Designed for today's experience-led traveller, LyLo's pods provide a private, high-quality stay at an accessible price point, blending innovative design with operational efficiency. The model delivers a unique hospitality experience for guests while unlocking stronger returns for owners.

To further drive EVT’s international growth ambitions and reinforce its commitment to South-East Asia, Harry Thaliwal, reporting to Chief Development Officer Brett Forer, is establishing a Bangkok office. Providing owners with local expertise on the ground and positioning EVT to accelerate growth opportunities across the region.

LyLo currently operates four properties across Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown and Brisbane, with a flagship Gold Coast property opening in 2028. EVT is in active discussions with investors across the broader Asia-Pacific region to expand the LyLo concept further, offering an immersive guest experience paired with a highly profitable accommodation model.

EVT CEO Jane Hastings said, "LyLo Bangkok is an important milestone in EVT's South-East Asia growth strategy. Alongside QT Singapore and the recently announced Rydges Bangkok, it strengthens our brand presence in the region and reflects our confidence in the growth opportunity ahead. Over the past five years we've built the LyLo concept, drawing on expertise from across EVT, and proven it as an award-winning brand. We have a platform to support expansion through asset-light management agreements, with Bangkok marking the first step in that journey."

Tim Alpe, Managing Director of LyLo, said, "Bangkok is one of the most visited cities in the world, and it's exactly the kind of market LyLo was built for with high volumes of budget-conscious, style-driven travellers who want more than a generic budget stay. It's a strong proof point for how far this concept can travel."

EVT thanks Hospitality Capital Advisers (HCA), Capstone Asset and Silver Bullet (SBS), acting as Development Partners on behalf of the Boontanonda Family, Matalay and KS Hotels, for choosing LyLo.

Miss Naphat Boontanonda and Mr Jutipun Boonsoong and fellow partners have welcomed the partnership with EVT and share their excitement and confidence in introducing the LyLo brand to Bangkok as part of the destination's evolving hospitality landscape. With QT Singapore, Rydges Bangkok and now LyLo Bangkok, EVT's South-East Asia expansion is gathering pace, backed by a team delivering market-leading results for owners and exceptional experiences for guests.
