
Let the kids run free! Thredbo prepare to welcome families for peak summer holiday period
Thredbo is set to offer a non-stop line-up of events and activities these school holidays, with an influx of families expected to visit the mountains to enjoy spending time together outdoors.
Australia's premier year-round adventure destination is preparing to welcome families to enjoy the ultimate summer playground these school holidays.
Thredbo General Manager, Stuart Diver said that the summer school holidays is one of his favourite times in Thredbo.
"I love seeing families come here in summer to reconnect and spend time together outdoors. With such a wide range of outdoor activities and events, we're really proud to offer a holiday experience that ticks the box for children and adults alike.’’
These school holidays, Thredbo will host its Kids Summer Adventure Festival, encouraging parents to let the kids run free in the mountains with a huge schedule of outdoor activities, events and entertainment.
From 23 December to 15 January, the Kids Summer Adventure Festival features a non-stop schedule of outdoor and indoor activities including MTB School Holiday Camps, treasure hunts, arts and crafts, games, movie nights, face painting and more. This summer, families can also enjoy ticking off bucket list items including hiking to Australia's highest lifted point or learning how to mountain bike on brand new trails in the new Cruiser MTB area that have been specifically designed for beginner and intermediate riders.
To celebrate the festive season, Thredbo is inviting guests and the community to a number of events including Christmas Carols with Santa and Christmas Day lunches, as well as parties and a special degustation dinner to ring in the New Year.
