Today, Thredbo launched Australia's newest ski lift - Freddie's Snowrunner. With the July school holidays around the corner, the new snow runner is dedicated to the new Kids Learning Area and will be a game changer for children's skiing and snowboarding lessons.

Bringing the resort's total number of lifts to 14, Freddie's Snowrunner is set to be one of Australia's longest snow runners at 98 metres long.
Dedicated to the new Kids Learning Area, the new snow runner will be a game changer for children's skiing and snowboarding lessons.
Voted Australia's Best Ski Resort For Families for five consecutive years, Thredbo is gearing up for a big July school holiday period with strong bookings following consistent snowfall over the past week.
From July 1-16, Thredbo's Kids Snow Festival will take over the resort with a non-stop schedule of family events, activities and entertainment including weekly kids flare runs and fireworks, kids-only movie nights and Lindt chocolate smores by the fire plus Australia's Best Skiing And Snowboarding.

Today, Thredbo Resort is excited to officially launch Australia’s newest ski lift, Freddie's Snowsports Snowrunner.

Freddie's Snowrunner is one of Australia's longest snow runners at 98 metres long, travelling through a tunnel that will protect children from the elements while they're enjoying the snow.

Dedicated to the resort's new Kids Learning Area, Freddie's Snowrunner is set to be a game changer for kids who are learning how to ski or snowboard.

Taking the resort's total number of lifts to 14, Freddie's Snowrunner will add to Thredbo's premium snowsport lesson experience with small class sizes and highly qualified instructors.

In addition to a fun ride up Friday Flat, kids will also be able to interact with exciting obstacles on both sides of the tunnel while they ride down. A new office space will also house on-hand supervisor staff and provide more convenient toileting facilities for children in their lessons.

Voted Australia's Best Ski Resort For Families for five consecutive years at the Out And About With Kids Readers Choice Awards, Thredbo Resort is gearing up for a massive July school holiday period ahead. Booking numbers are strong following consistent snowfalls over the past week plus there is more snow in the forecast for the next few days.

Thredbo's hugely popular Kids Snow Festival will take over the resort from July 1 - 16 with non-stop family events, activities and entertainment including weekly kids flare runs and fireworks, kids-only movie nights and Lindt chocolate smores by the fire in addition to great skiing and snowboarding.

Looking ahead to future developments, Thredbo's Alpine Coaster has been granted Development Approval with construction now underway. The coaster will diversify Thredbo’s recreational offerings through the provision of a year-round all weather rail-guided toboggan ride. The coaster is approximately 1.5 km in length with a mix of uphill and downhill tracks, a tunnel, bridges and circles that traverse through the alpine environment. Passengers are able to control their speed of up to 40 km/hr. Planned to be in operation for Winter 2024.
