QT and Rydges Queenstown are located approximately 500 metres south-west of the Queenstown town centre. The property has extensive frontage to Lake Esplanade, which runs parallel to the foreshore of Lake Wakatipu. Its position affords unobstructed views over the lake towards the Remarkables mountain range. Queenstown airport is located approximately 8km to the north-east. 

EVT is undertaking an upgrade of the property which includes the refurbishment and full conversion of the existing 152 room Rydges Lakeside Queenstown hotel to the QT brand. This transformation will integrate the property into the existing QT Queenstown and upon completion comprise of 222 rooms, majority with guest balconies, to take in the stunning Lake Wakatipu waterfront. The current 69-room QT Queenstown will remain open throughout the upgrade. The new QT rooms will become available in stages throughout 2026, with the overall project due to be completed mid-2027.
